I have been involved in golf in some way or the other since 1984. That is when I moved to St. Andrews, Scotland and caddied at the Old Course while attending high school. My first summer there I watched Seve Ballesteros win the Open Championship in St. Andrews. After that week all I wanted to do was play like that. Well, I got two out of three. I hit it all over the place, I recover with amazing control and imagination, but I don't shoot 68 often enough!
So, I have become a PGA Certified Instructor. I get an immense pleasure in improving my student's enjoyment of the game. I love to help them see what I see in golf, FUN. My particular passion in teaching is the short game, "back to Seve". I see all level of players struggle with pitch and chip shots. These struggles can largely be avoided by changing just a few things. The adjustments are different for each student. It would be unfair to think I could write a few lines to cure your short game woes. I would be happy to discuss your short game with you via email or in person if you are in the Westchester/Fairfield area April-October.
